I received phone calls AND a letter from these scammers. Their practices are absolutely ILLEGAL. They actually indicated in my letter that they would prosecute or file suit against me. It is illegal for any debt collector to make such statements unless they fully intend to follow through. In my case, I don't owe any money and there is absolutely NO REASON that they could sue me.I did a little extra research and found that in the State of Texas any debt collector must post a surety bond in an amount of $10,000 and file a copy with the Secretary of State. Of course, there is no bond on record for these scammers. I reported them to the Texas and Georgia Attorneys General and also to the FTC Consumer Complaint Division.I also discovered that they operate using addressess of public mail boxes. 3577 Chamblee Tucker Road is a small business that "rents" their address to multiple tenants for the purpose of the renter to be able to receive mail at that address.The actual physical address of these people appears to be 665 Castlebrooke WayLawrenceville, GA 30045. If you check, you will find that this is actually a RESIDENCE. These people are definitely not bright in conducting business in this manner AND in allowing their residential address to be published on the internet.

Lets not forget the professionalism they mention they have when dealing with companys to help collect a debt. Given their lies I would never use them unless I wanted my company to be sued. Purdie and Associates has never had the number 443-321-4540. If you have done your proper research you would look under the Secretary of State Georgia to know this is a real Corporation. We don't know what kind of phone or what kind of research engine you have. All you have to do is call the FBI or your Local Authorities to find out if this Company is legit. Also you can call your Original Creditor to see where you account is. Again for a limit time we are willing to resolve the situation.

I have not received any mailings from you either. By the FDCPA I am to receive that also. I find it interesting that P&A has an individual review these "who calls me list" to post.. Why is that? Is that part of your investigation? We also have the rigth to investigate you.

Mr Martin, I have never heard a Collector or as you call yourself an investigator (to scare people) be as rude as you are. You refuse to listen and only want to overspeak the other person on the phone. You refuse your address because you are are afraid I might come to your address and kill you. Are you serious? You said that we can not send a payment via the mail either by a debit card or moneygram. Why so it is impossible to track? You skated all around the FDCPA but you have broken a few. I have since sent 2 complaints off. I am sure you scare people to pay you but that doesn't work all the time. Maybe listen to the people a little and you might make more. You give the good collectors a bad rap who work in this business and have been successful and actually want to work with people. Not a lot of collectors work like you and your co-workers. You thrive on human fear which people will do anything sometimes to get people to stop.
