Calls my cell phone 3 and 4 times a day. Leaves the last 12 seconds of the recorded message. Total scam. I blocked the number but that still allows the it to leave a message. How can I stop it!! This is total harrassment and interrupts my phone calls when I am talking to clients.
I received a voicemail message this morning from 773-273-6136 (an unknown number to me). The message was from a woman who said "Be healthy and be blessed." Nice message, but creepy that she didn't identify herself in any way. I've tried calling back the number four times and each time I get a busy signal.
They were calling from a different number in North Carolina originally which I blocked, then they started calling from this Chicago number which I also blocked. Somebody just told me my voicemail was full and when I checked I had 15 messages from blocked numbers. It was these guys calling me 3 times per day! I've now blocked them through Verizon since my phone was not enough. Please be aware that these people are NOT telemarketers trying to sell something. If they were with a legitimate company they would provide contact information, a company name, and abide by the National Do Not Call Registry, and these guys don't do any of that.
I get calls from this health insurance scam on my cell phone and also at work. I also get the same calls from a 980-242-3698 number with the same exact recording.
You can block numbers through Verizon. If you don't have a MyVerizon account you should sign up for one and from there once you've signed in you go to My Plan & Services and select Blocks, this will allow you to block up to 5 numbers. If you pay the extra for SmartFamily you can block up to 20 numbers per line and you would block the number through that service instead. Hope that helps.
Constant calling; recorded message about insurance. An acquaintance remarked that at some point someone whom was exhausted by these distracting calls must have located this phone scammer's whereabouts then shoved the phone so far up into them that everytime they sneeze another marketing call is made.
