3/18/09 8:40 P.M. Received call from 1-786-369-7342 caller I.D. of Warranty Alert. Failed to leave a number on caller I.D. We have no warranties that we recall.

i wish these people would loose my phone number . today

We were sold a lemon by a used car company, and now we are getting this unknown number calling us.

It is obviously a recording, because there is always the immediate cough, then silence every time they call.

Received a call from voip calls-786.369.7342. When I answered, there was silence. I hung up. Didn't want to wait for a problem.

I called that number for Paetec 877-340-2555 (who claimed that they sold the phone number to "telecall," and was told that they had been receiving complaints about 786-369-7342 (known as Telecall, AND Paetec gave me another number, 307-223-0458(which is Telecall's Direct management), and was told to call this number to get put on the company's DO NOT CALL LIST...............when I called that number just now, they answered "TELECOM Management" and listed their hours of business, AND they asked me to leave a name and phone number so that they could return my call......which I refused to do, I will just call them back tomorrow!

I answered, they hung up.

They call constantly,... it's annoying and I am on the no call list for the state of Indiana. Please stop this from happening. Thanks! ;O)

I had assumed this was a machine calling me over and over early in the morning (I work nights, so this is horrible), but this morning I picked up the phone and waited silently for a second. I could hear a man coughing, but when I said *hello* he quickly hung up. I called the number back and there was a recorded message explaining the legalities: that their service is legal and operates in compliance with the law and that they service other businesses. I think this started when we were *crammmed* by some internet phone service that swore that my son had signed up for it via computer. I think this is another cramming scam and that if you have an autofill function on your browser that fills out forms for you, it is filling in tiny fields that you can't see. Or , this may be happening when people sign up for stuff they actually want, and unwittingly agree to be on this phone list under the terms of service.
