Got a call on my cell from 1-800-168-4861. Knew it was a fake number as most USA phone #'s do not start with a "1" Had to be those stupid telemarketers saying, "Your automobile warranty is about to expire..." Hell, my car is 12 years old! It expired in 1998! I've been getting these calls for sometime now...over a year or so! I just reject it or let it got to voice-mail! Other than it being annoying like the Jehovah Witnesses coming to your door, nothing you can really do about it, just don't answer and they'll go away for awhile!
PHONE CALL IN THE MIDDLE OF EXERCISE CLASS-DIDN'T ANSWER AND LOOKED IT UP WHEN I GOT BACK TO WORK.THEY ARE CALLING NEVADA NOW!
1-800-168-4861 made me sign up for the National Do Not Call List. They are still calling me every two weeks, the scumbags!
They are a marketing company that somehow has found a way to spoof phone numbers (many of the numbers that show up in caller ID are being used by the company without the consent and/or knowledge of the person/entity who owns the number. I've written my representative asking them to make this kind of spoofing illegal. Then caller ID will be more accurate.But I agree. If they bug the mafia enough, maybe they'll put out a contract on the company CEO in Atlanta.
I did not answer and they did not leave a voice mail. I would really like to know how they got my cell phone number in the first place!
i also got a call from 1-800-168-4861. Thankfully i didn't pick it up. I will ignore(or try and block) it if it comes again future. Thanks everyone for providing details and letting us know that it is SCAM CALL.
2/9/09 2:22PM...received call from this number on my cellphone. "Last chance to renew vehicle Warranty". I signed up for the Do Not Call List for my Cellphone and yet these "warranty companies" keep on calling. Very dangerous because they seem to call when I'm driving, and since I don't have Bluetooth, I have to pull over to see who's calling -- and it makes me extremely mad when it's one of these "warranty companies". How can we stop them from calling, especially cellphones?
also got a call from this number. Pressed '1' just so I could get the name of the company and report it to the FCC. Their own system screwed up though and the call was dropped within a few seconds while in queue.Start calling your phone company and report this. personally, my number is on a DNC list so I believe its a $500 penalty for EACH occurence. Let's get these guys not only bankrupt but in prison.

Robo-dialer caller. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION. DO NOT ANSWER or your phone number will be called again and again. They use several different caller-id numbers similar to 636-235-xxxx. NEVER USE THE WORD "Yes" when a robo-dialer calls you.

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.
