Called them back. They are a collections firm for medical offices. I had an outstanding balance.
I just received a voicemail message with this number. I also have an outstanding medical bill. Thanks for the info. 11cents.
Received several calls at all hours of day and night on my cellular phone from 800-243-9797. They say press 9 to hear a message. They claimed it WAS a marketing call, but I wanted to know WHO kept calling so I pressed the 9 key. I press 9 and several minutes later they pick up the phone to tell me I owe a local hospital money from a CT scan and they want the money for it TODAY! They should have been paid in full by my health insurance coverage, leaving just a small copay that I would owe. Seems this is not the case and they wanted ME to pay the bill, and they didnt want my health insurance information to bill them.
I get a phone call from this number almost everyday. My insurance changed software programs and all medical claims processed with them for the first 3 months of the year were processed incorrectly. The are taking care of it but it is a long process. I've told the collection agency this and yet they still call every day. Their should be something done about them.
Called and said I owed a co-pay for Boston Medical Center and I could give them my credit card and/or debit card info over the phone and they would process it at no charge. Told them I do not pay over the phone like that and would send a check tomorrow or if there was a secure website even better. They then claimed they've been having "issues" with the website, but I could try it anyway at the Boston Medical Center website. They didn't seem too happy that I wasn't giving up info about my credit card and/or debit information or checking account over the phone. Very Very suspicious.
They called left message to call back left no info. I have a payment plan with the hospital. Then why is this going to collections. The hospital receive's payment every month based on their terms. FYI Lowell General Hospital Ma. Once again people don't care in the hospital office if you can't afford to pay your bill in full at the time of service, some day it could be them sitting on this side of the fence. Good luck to them, to bad. Even if you setup a payment plan with the hospital. It still goes to collection.
I've received this call several times. I refuse to be kept waiting more than 30 seconds. This time, however, I remained on the line until I heard the opening measures of "Für Elise" more than a dozen times. Too much lousy Beethoven for one day. While waiting, I searched on the number and came upon this site. Instead of talking to them, I hung up and contacted the hospital directly, since the billed amount was already in dispute and apparently unresolved since August 7, today being 13 Jan. FYI, Almost all hospitals will allow payments over time, even minimal payments. Hassles with collections agents can often be avoided by making arrangements with the hospital.
