They keep calling but never leave a Message. They can keep calling but until they leave a Message I will not speak TO ANYONE.
I got a call from them at my parents house, and they respected my confidentiality by not disclosing the reason why they called. I got back to them today and they just notified me of my visa being overdrawn, and worked with me to make a short term payment plan to help me bring down the balance. Overall a pleasant experience for a collection agency. Don't hesitate to answer or call them when you're in a financial jam with the bank - they seem to be there to help you more than anything.
I never answer 800 numbers, every once in a while this one shows up on my work cellphone. It never leaves a message, tries twice and gives up for a couple of months. Never on my home phone or personal cellphone. Company I work for doesn't use CIBC for anything and I don't owe money on VISA.
They called me on my cell and at work for two weeks straight before I answered and told them if they called me again I was pressing charges. I counted out the number of times they called me and in 14 days they called me 47 TIMES!!!! And NOT to tell me I had an unpaid Visa bill (because I don't) but to call me and tell me they changed some terms on one of my accounts!!! It's call A LETTER for fudge sake! If they had left me a message, I would have gladly called them back. Even when they called me at work, they were never on the other line - that was the maddening part. I finally waited the 30 SECONDS it took them to answer to "hello" so I could tell them to [***]. How aggravating!!
This CIBC numbers keeps calling and calling. It's so irritating. They called this morning at 8:11 a.m. which is too early. I don't have a CIBC credit card nor have I ever banked there so this has nothing to do with credit. I can only assume they're trying to sell me something. I have answered when they've called to tell them to stop but all I get is please hold for a cibc representative. I don't think so. I'm also on the national DO NOT CALL list. Not sure why or how it is they've come to think it's ok to call me at all hours. I wasn't really planning on doing any business with them before and I certainly won't be doing any business with them now.
