annoying woman would not take 'no' for an answer. we do not ship freight out of here, yet she wanted to introduce herself and find out what we did. she seemed VERY dense!
we'll see. I started out trying to be nice, but had to get rude to shut her up. we have NO need for their services. I bet she calls back though.
YRC Freight. Left "priority" voicemail pretending to be our account rep. We don't do business with them.
This lady called twice in a row this morning, talking so fast, I could hardly understand her. She wanted our shipping department. Knew him by name, so I tranferred her. She called again babbling about us ordering something from her but she got his voicemail. I asked if she left a message and she start babbling again. I finally told her that she was talking way too fast for me to understand her and that she would have to wait for him to call her back. I don't know what she was trying to get me to do, but I wasn't going to agree with her or give her any information. Next time I will send her straight to my voicemail and see what she says. Then I will let him know she called.
From an upside down view I spot PER CALLER ID: 800 SERVICE! So when that came up I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO FLIP THE SNIP SWITCH & shift my tone a bit! After the standard phone greeting of Good Morning, Company name and then my name. The DUMMY on the other end asked "Have I reached.." and asks for the company name that I just gave? OK so were are ALREADY OFF to a TERRIBLE START!!!Chick had that ANNOYINGLY THICK OVERSEES ACCENT where an entire sentence becomes 1 word. So I had no problem stating "I'm so sorry your accent is SO THICK I can't understand you" and asked her to slow down time and time again while SCREENING. I ONLY opted to put the call through FIRST because she had an actual name. Secondly, because the person she was asking for would most definitely PUT HER ON FULL BLAST once she did connect with him (gotta find a way to place some humor in telemarketer harassment ;) ) Finally after a thorough screening I put her through only to have her DISCONNECT when our Director of Shipping picks up......ANNOYING nut I guess she was SCARED due to the SCREENING!!!!Now the call will be FLAGGED & BLOCKED!!! Yellow Roadway Freight I'm READY FOR YOU!!!
YRC Freight. Asks if you ship inbound/outound monthly or how many times per year. Asks for your email so they (she) can send updates about your account. I asked who was listed on our account, and she gave a bogus name. Scam.
Starts off claiming she's with YRC Frieght and asking if she's reached the name of the company I just said and the address. I NEVER, EVER say "yes" to those calls because many scammers will record the conversation and use select words in a new, fake recording to "prove" the company agreed to some outrageous price for a service or good. So my answer to if she's reached.... is "for what purpose?" Oh, we have new pricing... ok, put it in writing and put it in the mail. Thank you. click.
Thanks for the info every one! When I see this on the caller ID I'm forwarding straight to our fax line. Works like a charm.
YRC Freight. They call everyday and send emails everyday. I've told them that we have a contact with a logistics firm already and we are not on the market for another so please stop calling.
YRC Freight - calling for my boss who is retired and no longer in business. The caller's name was Nick at ext. 41166, kept trying to keep me on the line after I told him the person he was calling was retired and there was nobody else he could talk to. He did say it was a sales solicitation. Caller id came up "Zakheim Law Group". Sounds like the guy is from India. As others have said, sounds fishy.
