The number 800-536-1584 calls my work phone several times a day, this is a hospital business office. I have more important things to do than answer a call from this ignorant telemarketing company. These people should be prosecuted, and if it continues I will , and go for the gold when I do. All calls are recorded here and logged so I will have everything I need for my case.
I got a call from that number claiming to be Bank of America and requesting information. The speaker was barely intelligible because of rushing and was unintentionally funny trying to keep me on the line. B. of A., which called me, wanted to be sure I was the person they had called. Bank of America will be notified of the scam in their name, and certainly FCC, Do not Call list. Please do the same if they call you. It is worth the trouble to discourage such people from tying up your phone.
Just received call from this number asking for someone I have never heard of. When I said they had the wrong number I was asked again about that person and I said I don't know them. Then asked if this was a place of employment or cell phone when I answered no. They asked yet again if I was sure that person was not here. I said nobody by that name lives here. The the woman said "Well I just spoke to someone by that name just last week at this number" I told her it was impossible since I have had this number for over 2 years and nobody by that name lives here. I got a snide "huh Interesting" remark.
Another rediculous phone call from FAI card services, a subsiderary of BofA. A bunch of rip off artist.
Keep receiving calls from this number and several other 800 numbers (too many to list) with the caller name not provided & I WILL NOT answer the phone when someone calls and the name is blocked. Whoever it is refuses to leave a message and my phone numbers are all listed on the National Do Not Call List!!!!!!!
It is Bank of America looking for past due cardholders. I called the number back, explained the person is no longer at this number, and they removed my number from their records. Is it 100% foolproof? No, but my experience shows that this helps to drastically reduce the number of these type of calls coming in. And it is hard to believe, but I have call center experience where an autodialer is used and MOST (not all) companies legitimately want to prevent incorrect calls to improve their agent productivity and telephone costs. Dialing and hanging up on people doesn't do them any favors from a PR standpoint, and it isn't free as the large volume dialers pay by the second when calls are connected, not just when someone answers.
Did not recognize the number. It was an FIA collections call on behalf of Bank of America. I took a look at my BoA statement and saw that my bill payer service paid them then pulled back the payment.Called BoA direct (with the number from the website) and took care of the overdue balance. No late fee charged. Sometimes it's worth it to do your own detective work but definitely don't release info to a cold caller.
It's from Bank of America AAA Credit Card. I realized that I may have made ONE late payment on that credit card, but that does not forgive them for calling at 11:00 pm at night. Those idiots call constantly and do not leave a message. I yelled at the operator asking why they did not send a letter or leave a message. They did credit the late fee, but that does not excuse their actions.
