I just got a call who sounded like a complete goon. He said he was from PGE and that my electricity would be cut off because it was past due. I asked when my last payment was and he made up a date from months ago. He then proceeded to tell me how to go get some type of money order, to pay for it is cash, and then asked that I would call back. I hung up and called the number I had for PGE, and it said I had paid my bill 2 weeks earlier. The jackass called back and I asked where he was. He couldn't even pronounce the name of the street, which is a local street that people here know how to pronounce.

Stupid***called me 10 times saying I have not paid my PG&E bill and they will disconnect. They asked me to go to Walgreen and buy prepay card and pay full amount of 460.00 and told me not to tell them that I am behind in my bills otherwise they will charge me 19.95 which my account has a zero balance.

Claimed they were calling from PG&E. Said he was sending a technician to my house because I did not pay my bill. Technician called and told me in order to keep my power on, I had to go to a specific Walgreens to buy a specific prepaid card and give the staff member all of my personal information.

THIS IS A SCAM. Unfortunately they took advantage of my handicap brother. All companies have a number to call on your bill whether its a utility or a credit card. Always work through the companies billing on those documents never pay or confirm information always call back based on the paper bill information. They seem to know the exact amount of what you owe from your last bill. My question is how do they know that amount is that information public or do they somehow have access to stolen information?

PSEG Scam. Will call on the weekend and threatens a PSEG disconnect if you don't purchase a Money Pak with cash and call back with the # off the card.
