Yes, I think they are phishing too. The caller wanted our CFO. After I put him to a voice mail, he called right back and asked for the name of the assistant. I just put him on hold. He doesn't need to start harassing her too.
This is another scam sales caller. Called this morning to 'verify' our CEO's contact information and the guy actually got uppity with me and said, 'ma'am I've got 30 seconds to go through this in an order!' I told him - You may but I don't. He verified some info and then asked for my name and position. Then, CLASSIC! He said, to verify that we spoke with you, please provide first three letters of your mother's maiden name (()&)(&*@!!!???!?).
No one spoke when I answered, but as I was hanging up, I heard a very loud, static-y "HELLO?" on the other end. Missed your chance, p.o.s. scammer!
Said they did International marketing and wanted to talk to whoever handled that. As always, that person is out of the office!
Called but didn't leave a message - yet. My wife was determined to call them back so I guess I'll be getting more calls from them now :-( Sigh...
unbelievable they are still using the same number, and the reason for the harassment is I took a survey from at&t and didn't feel like pressing 10 after they ripped me off, so i gave them the lowest score, now this number starts calling before and after telemarketing hours, just plain harassment, so getting rid of at&tgoing back with verizon.
the hello i heard was my own voice being repeated back to me,report the calls to at&t or whoever your phone provider is and complain loudly and complain often, if you have to back your car into a few of their call control boxes , cut some fibre optic lines ,raise a stink , just a seinfeld joke pour concrete in their washing machine, slip them a mickey, skip the sabotage instructions was jokingafter getting a bunch of those calls humor is bettera pirate walks into a bar and the bartender says hey pirate did you know you have the ships steering wheel attached to the crotch of your pants and the pirate says arrrr it be driving me nuts
