calls constantly, Christmas Eve, early mornings,no message

Calls daily, but I ignore and let my answer machine pick up. They leave no message. Web search shows number belongs to MCI World Com (merged with Verizon) for Large Business. I have a residential number, not a business. My strategy for incessant annoying calls is to give them a few days to give up on me. Then I answer the phone and blow a hideously loud, long piercing whistle into the receiver. Generally, I never get another call. I've been on the No-Call List for years, but some folks need another form of being told!

They are a collection agency!They call everyday and when I pick up the phone to find out what they are calling about, there is noone there.

I am sick of getting calls from this number. I get called at least 4 times a day and inspite of me asking us to the DNC list, the guys keep calling. At times there have been different companies/telemarketers altogether that keep calling with the same number.Can someone help me get rid of this nuisance?Let me know.Thanks.Rohit

My nrighbor across the street gets these calls and they have caller id on their tv everytime it is a different charity asking for a donation but the same 800 number

I get these calls almost daily sometimes twice a day. Most of the time there is only silence on the other end. When someone actually answers it has been from different companies trying to sell something. I think that this number is a cover for people who do not care if you are on the do not call list. I am on the do not call list and have been for years. The calls can not be returned it is just busy. Who ever is doing this need to be stopped!

We, too, have been getting calls from this number 800-737-8423. And we have caller ID so of course we don't answer and they never leave voice mail. Question is WHY do they continue calling???

SAME CALLER ID FOR APPROX 3 YEARS....KINDA MAKES YOU WANT TO SWAP BACK TO TWO BEAN CANS WITH A STRING CONNECTION.....WHERE DOES IT ALL END ??
