it's norton. i've had a heckuva time getting them to understand that i do not want any more calls and i do not want to renew norton. i have a much better antivirus program. they're annoying!
It's Norton. Loved it when the caller clown said, "I'm calling from Norton." I told him I didn't care if he was calling from Venus, there was no Julie here. He apologized. Good riddance. He only called in five minute intervals.
Received a call at 2:23 AM CST on July 2, 2009 really scary, thought it might be one of the kids. They even left a message. Can't understand a word he said.
So I contacted Norton via chat to see if I could resolve an issue I was having. The guy wanted to access my computer, I said no just talk me through it because it should have been an easy thing to fix. The guy's grasp of the English language was poor at best. His only advice was to uninstall and reinstall and even then he couldnt tell me that very well.So I told the guy "forget it" and have a good one because he told me at the beginning of the chat that if we got disconnected he would call back in a half hour to reestablish a connection. Pretty sure that was a sign that I wasnt being disconnected, I was leaving of my own free will and didnt need/want any more "help".That was about 2 hours ago. He just barely called me. I could hardly understand a word he was saying on my voice mail, thats how thick his accent was.I'm fairly happy with Norton as a product, but seriously people... get a clue!
