A neighbor stopped by and told me they received a call from someone asking questions about us, such as, where we worked. He said it was a lady and she said she was calling from Texas. He has caller id and wrote the number down for us. I called the number and got a recording that it is a collection agency. We have no tax debt, we have always received a refund and no defaulted loans. We thought that maybe there was a mistake with the credit bureaus so we got reports from the 3 major crdit reporting companies and there wasn't anything on them either. I guess I will call this company tomorrow but from everyone else's comments, it does not seem as though I will get any answers. We are furious about this call to a neighbor especially when we have nothing out there but an apparent scam on their part. Does anyone know how to handle this or if what they did (calling a neighbor)is even legal? I don't even have an address for them.

Today I received a message from my husband that someone called from DCS Inc. looking for a family member of mine. I asked what they wanted, they would leave no message, said only that this was the last phone number and address for the family member. Well, we just moved to this area a few months ago and this particular family member has no information regarding the new address or phone number. So, then the woman proceeds to say that she has spoken with the family member's mother, my husband laughs and says, she has been dead for over 10 years, she then says oh, the step mother, wrong again, never had one, the parents were married forever. My husband then proceeds to tell the woman that the family member has never lived with us and is not even welcome in our home and she should not trust anything that he tells her. Wow, who do these people think they are...

Dan Beck from extension 7733 of 1-800-927-7667 called and asked for my girlfriend's name. He wanted to ask her for a friend -Marlene's number. Marlene does not exist. Just a crafty way to get through to my girlfriend. What a pity they resort to such tactics to earn a salary!!!

THey just called here looking for my mother in law saying that my husband was a reference for an APPLICATION she filled out. Okay, if you left messages about an application she filled out and was going to be approved for- she would have called you back! Instead I investigated online to find out the number... Interesting that they do this. then she said "if Marilyn gives me permission to talk to you i can discuss this with you" well wouldn't marilyn need to call? So I called my mother in law and told her. she has never programmed my new number in her cell phone- so how would she have known it to give it out? she keeps everything in the cell phone.

Girl (Christy Swanson) called my home phone number and reported she was looking for my son as he had applied for a job and used me for a reference. My son is currently unemployed, to discover this is falsifying reason for locating him. Looked number up on internet to discover a collection agency. Just plain harrassment. Something should be done about these calls!!!!She even had the nerve to say it was time sensitive still making it sound as if he had a job and gave her ext # of 2618.
