800-940-5671 asked for me, could not pronounce name. advised he (myself) was dead, they hung up
They keep calling me, so I let them come over, they sent two guys and a truck and started loading all my stuff up on the truck and said that it wasn't on my plan to have these items.when they were done all I have left is 2 pairs of jeans and my bed. No shirts shoes or underwear. I'm scared to leave my house..
Same thing as others are reporting. What bothered me is that they had the insurance company I am with correct. Don't know if someone has sold my info or they just guessed correctly. If this is for real then it is the STUPIDEST thing the insurance company could possibly do in this day and age of scammers.
Received multiple calls from a local number first. Picked up first call and woman stated she was calling on behalf of Coventry Home Advantage and their representative would be at my house the next day at 3:30 for a Coventry Home Health visit. I said NO you will not. Next she started calling at multiple odd times every day, never leaving a message. When I blocked her number, I started getting calls from 18009405671. Even if it were real, I would never allow a complete stranger into my home and discuss personal health information. My doctor gives me medical advice, not a complete stranger who may or may not be affiliated with my health insurance company. Calling Coventry tomorrow to ask if the call is on their behalf and if it is, tell them to call off their paid to get an appointment solicitation hound dogs. Ridiculous!!
There was no message. After reading other reports on this page I blocked the phone number.
Received 3 calls in one day from this number. We have our phone on one ring then to v/m and they never leave a message.
Its a valid service that your Insurance does for free. If you want the calls to stop just pick up and decline however it was good visit for me. The nurse was nice and gave information on my fibroids and referred me to doctor that was great. My husband declined but I took it they also sent me a $100 amazon giftcard for completing it. I got all the Nurse info prior to her coming I usually dont do strangers.
You people are slow they were hired by your insurance to do a wellness assessment. Call your insurance they will tell you. If you guys read your mail and not just throw away you would have received a letter that explained and said you will be getting calls. As I did so when they called I knew kinda what it was. It was ok nothing major but hey I got free giftcard.
Except people have doctors to do the assessment. The insurance companies do this to justify increasing their premiums.
Not really a scam, just harassment. First I got a postcard from my insurance company saying they have this great program for home health visits. Then I got a letter wondering why I hadn't responded to the postcard, explaining what a great program this is. They do it as a free service for their members, and also because it helps them provide Medicare with anonymous data about their subscribers. Now the calls have started. I won't be eligible for Medicare for another 10 years, and I've been notified by the insurance company that my current plan won't be available next year (I'm self employed and get my insurance through the Exchange). In fact, they're not offering any individual plans in my state next year. So, in 3 years on the Exchange, I've had to change my plan 3 times (and change doctors, btw). If my insurance company really wants to do something for me, they can offer a reasonable plan in my state. I'm sure there are people out there who can benefit from this program, but I'm not one of them.
