Have received this call for a week now sometimes twice a day. After reading some of the other comments I called the number back and it was exactly as they said. They wanted my SS#. I do have a Capital One card that I have not used in years. No way I'm giving them any info. Now I hope they call at a time when I can answer my phone. BTW, they're calling my cell phone.

AGAIN TODAY RECEIEVED AUTOMATED CALL FROM CAPITOL ONE WANTED ME TO ENTER MY ACCOUNT NUMBER OR MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. I CALL ANOTHER NUMBER AND SOMEONE TRANSFERED ME TO THE DEPTARTMENT THE NUMBER 800-946-0332 BELONG TO. I INFORMED THE LADY THAT AMSWERED WE ARE A BUSINESS AND WE WERE TRIED OF THEM TRYING UP OUR BUSINESS LINE. WE DIDN'T HAVE A LOAN OR CREDIT CARD THRU THEM AND I WANTED OUR NUMBER REMOVED. I ALSO ADVISED HER I WAS LOOKING AT THE SAME COMPLANT FROM OTHER PEOPLE AND THAT THEY HAVE SO ISSUES. SHE INFORMED ME SHE WOULD EMAIL OUR NUMBER TO HER BOSS AND OUR NUMBER WOULD BE REMOVED BY TOMMORROW. WE ARE ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST BUT THAT DOESN'T SEEM TO MATTER.

They were calling for this deadbeat [***] who used to have my number. They use 411.com and other sources to try to locate losers that owe them money, and change phones, or have a disconnected phone.

i have got calls from this number some times !!!pain in the [***]!!!

they have to take your name off the calling list. i received a call from them and several other collection agencies about some lowlife who used our place of business as employment/reference. shows how companies verify info on applications. i ask them to take my name off their calling list and they tell me within 24-48 hours. so far no call back from any of them- maybe because i tell them if i get any info, i will call them back- which i will.this has worked with several other collection agencies that called on another lowlife who did the same thing.

A person called my cell phone during work and left a message saying, "this is Aundrea, with Capital One Auto Finance, I can not express enough the urgency of the matter and it does need your immediate attention". "My number is 800-946-0332." I don't have a car loan, credit cards, home mortgage or anything else with Capital One. I once had a credit card with them it was such a bate and switch situation, that I closed the account out and said I never will work with them again. This is the lowest form of marketing their is. Why hasn't Capital One gone under in this sub-prime crises.

forgot to add- the # that came thru on caller id is 281-201-1080. i got the 800# from the girl i spoke with. good luck.

People, it is not a scam. If you are late on a capital one bill, they call you. You may not have a auto loan or capital one credit card, but someone you know may have listed your number as a way for capital one to reach them or somehow they got the wrong number

They call me every day, don't leave a message, I've never used Capital One in my life and never will. Added the number to my block list.

This number is now stating that it's the IRS.
