I make payments to Capital One via phone sometimes, and they NEVER ask for my social. When I got a call from this number, it was super sketchy, especially since my payment wasn't even due for over a week. I called Capitol One back via the number on their site, and in fact, THIS IS NOT CAPITOL ONE.

It had to be some collector or another. This one ain't so bad I guess. I am late.

called and asked for someone that does not live at my house and then asked me to give her a message. I replied that I could not.

It is in fact Capital One Auto. I have had a pending payment for at least a week and it wasn't coded in their system so the automated system kept calling. I called them to inquire and they do see the payment.

Just got called 3 times back to back to back from this number, within a 60 second time period. I do not have any Cap One accounts of any kind. There is no reason I should be getting any calls from them.

Not always the case. I know I am not late on my payment. They DO call for other reasons. Like security breaches and many other reasons.

Why would Cap One Auto Finance call me? I don't have an account with them.

It's not capitol one, it's a scammer. I called capitol one and they said they were not affiliated with them.
