Get so many calls from these numbers wanting to reduce interest rates. and when you ask which card are they calling about, and of course they hang up. My phone company said never pick up the phone when there is a State name as the caller. Sometimes when you answer they use your phone number for their business. Never answer a phone number that has a state name.

Thank you for the rotary Idea. I have one . It is a good idea. At this point I don't know what else to do. I can track this number down but when I talk to officials, they always say there is nothing they can do. At least you found a way to resolve this. you can attach you cell number to the main line of your home and if you see the number come up on your phone, just let the rotary pick it up via an answering machine. Thank you for that advice.

Got a call from this number last evening. No message left, and when I called the number back, it doesn't even ring. ?? Guessing it must be some kind of a call center.

Careful! I received a call yesterday from this number about a totally different survey (supposedly). I normally don't take marketing calls from unknown numbers, but decided to play along. The rep said they were taking a survey from Nielsen about how often we go to the movies. Finally they asked my age (I gave a bogus). The rep immediately says "we already have info for your age group, but need feedback from kids - do you have any that I can talk to?" (RED FLAG) Of course I said no.Why are these folks asking me about going to the movies and wanting to talk to my kids? Did you know there has been numerous homes being robbed because people break into cars at theaters, find addresses (knowing they have time while you're at the movies) and rob your household. I can't help but think about this onslaught of crime as I hung up on this call. Perhaps since they have our number, they may have addresses. Perhaps they are trying to obtain detail from children who may admit when they go to the movies (say Saturday afternoons, etc). It's something to be wary of, for sure.

Quit calling my number. Take me off your list. I will report you the next time I see your number.
