Same thing: claim to be from technical support and want to refund my money. I never called them back. SCAMMERS
This guy wanted to get on my computer to "refund" my money. I said No, just send it in the mail to me. He hung up. I am worried other people will fall for his scam, get on someones computer, and steal all their information.
Company claims to be Microsoft calling about "Refunding" money for "Computer Service" as Microsoft has been "Ordered to shut down" according to their robocall. They want Credit Card information to supposedly Refund money. I have been a Computer tech for more than half my life. Microsoft does NOT offer Computer Service. Never has. And even if they did I do my own I wouldnt pay for it. Its a definite scam to get your credit card info.

rec'd call from this number with a automated message that Window's purchase was being refunded and to call back to the same number, (805) 209-2060, and when I did a girl answered refund department and said that I made a purchase of $299 to upgrade windows and due to technical difficulty the money would be refunded. She asked me to go onto my computer to "start the refund process". When I said I wasn't near my computer, she basically hung up on me. SCAM!! Don't give any info!

This is a SCAM-Goes to voice mail and asks you to leave your SSN. The social security admin will never ask you to leave your SSN on a voice mail. Letter looks very official, but it's not.
