Attempt to collect a debt from someone who owes nothing to anybody. Has to be a scam.
They have called me twice today all ready. It was about to hours different. They need to quick calling me. I'm so tired of it. I think it is a spam calling. They just want money and I don't owe any money. I want to know how they got my number in the first place.
got a call from my mother 1600 miles away said they were calling for my wife...hmmm funny i lived in different state with my wife, how they get that # and I NEVER owe a bill in my life...i just flagged my credit report for fraud
THIS NUMBER KEEPS CALLING ME DAY AND NIGHT. 1. I AM NOT THE PERSON WHO THEY WANT.2. I DO NOT OWE THEM ANY KINDA MONEY .3. I KEEP TELLING THEM I DO NOT KNOW HOM THEY ARE CALLING FOR. BUT I DO KNOW SOMEONE CALLED MY NUMBER TODAY ABOUT GETTING BETTER RATES ON MY VISA. I PRESSED NUMBER 1 TO HAVE THEM REMOVE MY NUMBER NOW THEY CALL ALL THE DAMN TIME. I HAVE REPORTED THEM TO THE DO NOT CALL LIST. WHEN I TOLD THE BLACK LADY TO STOP CALLING ME SHE JUST LAUGHED. AND WHEN I SAID I WAS NOT THE PERSON THEY'RE LOOKING FOR SHE LAUGHED AGAIN. WTF.WHO EVER HAD THE NUMBER BEFORE WAS A LOW LIFE PEACE OF [***] BECAUSE OF ALL THE DAMN CALLS I KEEP GETTING.
dont notify the BBB they do no good, instead notifey the FTC at www.ftc.gov and file a complaint their as they have a complaint form there. yah I would sue them what they are going is against the law and they shouldnt be telling you about anybody else business that is against the law and they hope you dont know that.
what they are doing is fishing trying to get information and that is against the law by contacting you about another person debt. you need to contact the FTC ( federal trade commission) and file a complaint against them.
what they do is go on the internet and take the phone number and pull a report with all possiable people at that number and if they have a name they do the same thing and then the phone number shows up and that is against the law because they are not to tell you about another persons debt that they owe and they are not to call you alot if they call more than 10 times that alot and you can sue for damages for harassment and you need to report them to the ftc go to www.ftc.gov and fill out a complaint form there because once you do and any time after that they contact you fill out another complaint form and then they get fined $1000.00 or more each and everytime they contact you and you file a complaint.
send this to them. Mr./Ms. Collector, I am writing in response to your constant phone calls! According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, [15 USC 1692c] Section 805(c): CEASING COMMUNICATION: You must cease all communication with me after being notified in writing that I no longer wish to communicate with you. Therefore, I demand that you stop calling me at home, at work, on my cell phone or at any other location! In accordance with the federal FDCPA, now that you have received this "stop calling" letter, you may only contact me to inform me that you: • are terminating further collection efforts; • invoking specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by you or your company; or • intend to invoke a specified remedy. Be advised that I am well well aware of my rights! For instance, I know that any future contact by you or your company violates the FDCPA and that since you already have my location information, calls made by you or your company to any 3rd party concerning me violates section 805(b)2 of the FDCPA. Be advised that I am keeping accurate records of all correspondence from you and your company, including tape recording all phone calls. If you continue calling me I will pursue all available legal actions to stop you from harassing me and my family.
BTW, I have their number blocked in my phone directory so no frustration on my part, actually a little happiness knowing that it probably annoys them. I wonder if they know they are blocked..., also another number you can use to rant or talk to them is listed on their website, just go there and look it up.
