I knew it was a scam. Called back and he said he was agent so and so with the social security department. I asked him to repeat it and he did and stated a name and agent number. I said do you think I’m stupid? Then I screamed a blood curdling scream in his ear and hung up. It felt great.

Called the number back and I initially thought I was a victim of identity theft and then when I asked detailed questions about it he hung up on me and blocked my number

Trying to run a social security account scam

I received a call also from this number. It said the exact thing as others are saying and said I needed to call asap. I did NOT call. It sounded like a scam and then I got on my computer and now I know it is!!

Definitely scam.The person who answers does say he works for the United States Department of Social Security (NOT, as it is properly called, the Social Security Administration). When i asked for a hard copy document, he hung up. I have reported them to the FBI.

We got the call from the same number 3 times but never called back. It's a scam. Social security will never call on the phone.

Same experience as the other reports. No name, agency was given. Definite scam.
