I had the exact same experience with this number claimed to have moved to Canada but was "out of province" Said he wanted the car for his wife, even though I said it needed work to run regularly.

Called three times and left no message. The third time the name that came up on my phone was Authors Club president. I answered and the caller then said they were collecting on a debt, claimed they were recording the call. Scam.
