Statistics Canada calling for wrong person. they may be legit, but at least call for the right person!

They're legitimate. Since Statistics Canada's offices have shut down due to COVID-19 they have employees working from home on legitimate surveys (most of which are required by law under the Statistics Act). This is the toll-free # to call back. Often a letter will be mailed to you ahead of time explaining the purpose of the call.

I ignore all (833, 844, 8xx...) type calls. This one left a message saying it was Statistics Canada with a number and reference number to call back to. First time I ever heard of Statistics Canada phoning people unsolicited.

Saying postal redelivery unit when called. What?
I didn't accept the call and they did not leave any voice message
I answered this one out of curiosity as I usually don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. Another annoying robocall. This time claiming to be calling from Medicare.
Would give it zero stars if I could.
Because I didn't know who the caller was, I sent it to voicemail. The caller did not leave a message and hung up. I assumed it was another robo call and when I checked this site my assumption was confirmed.
