Got an email saying I have a past due balance with Telus, however I have never had an account with Telus under my own name. And to call the number stated above. Plus they are using my nickname, not my legal name. Pretty sure it is a scam.
Called me twice within 2 hours. They've put my number on automated diallers, which debt collection agencies will do. Instead of having one person call one number, they have a program dial out 300 phone numbers at once hoping to "score a caller". The reason no one is on the phone when you answer is because the call is trying to route itself to an available agent in the call center, which doesn't work if 12 people are all on a call... so the call is dropped and you're put on a list for a second dial out that day
Had a text message from a random number saying to call this number with a file number. I texted back you may call or send a official business letter.
How to block the number? They call me about 3-4 times/ day and let a message. It is a robot at the other end. My voicemail is full all the time because of that.. Very frustrating.Thank you
Yep, a collection agency. You have to write them and tell them they can only contact u through Canada post. Don't pay them anything. If they could get the money, they would go to court.
