Police foundation looking for donationsc for teddy bears

Called a few days ago.Here in Ottawa.

Keeps ringing, when answered no one is there and line goes dead.

got a call police foundation told them i do not give over phone ,so they just hung up.whaooo is it really a police foundation or a scam.

Called this evening. Ottawa.

Call came in to answering machine. When I played voicemail it was obviously a telemarketing sweatshop. At the end a male voice said 'come on baby who do you love'. I would not have answered anyways as it was an 844 area code. Received at Ottawa phone number. Definitely scammers.

The police association does not or has not ever solicited phone calls or requested anyone to do so on their behalf.On behalf of the police association in this case behalf means 1.76 % of all the monies collected benefit the association. What that means if your confused is less than 2 cents on every dollar goes to the association.With any charitable group ( ALL) If you feel obligated to do good and donate money don't do it with money to ease your conscience.. Volunteer it will have a direct impact. The administration fees are out of this world , That means the money is absorbed by the executive staff ceo's down to janitor.Example in the news Red Cross in Haiti 5 billion dollars collected built six houses and they are patting themselves on the back for their effort. Heart and Stroke ,Cancer Society , pledge money to a hungry kid all "Non Profit Organizations" (this is changing). Do the research they are all the same. Lottery tickets : a cash grab for the government. "A sucker born every minute" and it seems we're all suckers.....

My wife and I have been getting 2 calls per day from this number. We know what it's about and we don't answer. Calls stop after 3 rings.

After telling them no I keep getting these calls everyday.Said they'd send the tickets in the mail anyway and we could send the money later..NO MEANS NO !Stop harassing me !
