This is an ATT/Directv scam number. Do NOT get involved with these scammers or you could lose money for no good reason.
This number called and left a message saying that it was my local car dealership. She said since my car was under 36000 miles i could get an extended warranty for 250 off whatever the normal price is but she did not know how to pronounce hyundai or tucson so I think this could be a scam. Plus, this was not from the same kind of number as the dealership which is another red flag.
They left a message saying they were from Volvo of Las Vegas to discuss my warranty. I just had my car serviced this past Monday at that dealership and they reminded me my warranty is good through Feb 2016. Clearly not actually calling from the dealer...
Said they are from the Mini dealer which is where I service my car but the numbers don't match up (it's also not the dealership where I bought it). Shame on Mini for selling off my information. This is the second time they have called and left their scare tactics about my warranty expiring.
Then how did they know my milage when they called which happened to be two days after taking it to the dealer for service?
I didn't answer, they left a message claiming to be Mountain States Toyota, wanting to give me an extended warranty. I know my dealership, and it's definitely not this phone number. Far from it.
Sharmaine called this time. Once again, claiming to be from Mountain States Toyota. I've saved the voicemail through Google Voice and have now contacted the actual dealership to let them know about this.
These folks get around. Called my cell -- caller ID was unknown for both name and number, so I let it go to voice mail. Said it was "Trudy" with my Toyota dealer calling about purchasing an extended warranty and gave me the above number to call. I smell BS -- the dealer never blocks their number.
This is EasyCare a pretty decent warranty company. I do not for them, but have dealt with them in the automotive industry for over 10 years. EasyCare calls and represents the Dealership and tries to direct business back the dealership. For example Coporate owns xxx number of dealerships. This one company calls for that entire dealer whether it is Toyota, Ford, etc... Don't agree it is right, but it's not a scam.
