Receive calls on my cell phone from this number almost daily. I am on do not call list.

I received a call from this phone number, but they didn't leave a voicemail. I've been receiving a lot of these nonsense calls lately.

Got a call. Someone held there breath after I said hello. I hung up since no one said anything. Called again. I declined it.

It is not nelnet. Google them and this number does not appear on their website

I personally have nelnut loans and they do not take credit cards only bank accounts. No debits either. It's just a direct line tp your account.

It's not a scam. It really is Nelnet student loan dept. I have a loan that I am paying with them from like 2 years ago. The girl I spoke to got my payment down from $35 a month to like $8. They just called me today because I forgot to send in my payment. The only thing that stinks with them is you can not set up auto pay with a debit or credit card you HAVE TO have a checking account to set up auto pay or else send in money orders. I always miss my payment because I forget to get a money order, ugh!!! Anyway I thought I would clarify that this is a valid # for the dept of ed for nelnet loans. If you do not have a student loan, they are probably calling your # looking for another person, or you forgot you have loans outstanding. look on your cbr to make sure your're correct.

Someone who used to have your cell # has a student loan. They don't pull #'s outta thin air. Just call them back and advise them that they have a wrong # or you will continue to receive calls. Why is everyone so scared to call a company back and tell them they have a wrong #. It's crazy, lol.

They just called me. That is why I am on here. I forgot who the # belonged too. I saw that it is nelnet from another person. I have a student loan with them that I am paying on. I forgot to mail in my payment so they called me today. I have absolutely no reason to lie.

It's HILARIOUS that all the people telling the truth that it is in fact Nelnet get voted ?thumbs down but the people calling it a scam get a thumbs up?!? It blows my mind you people are off your rockers. LOL probably drowning in debt too.

It's even more hilarious that the scammers will jump in with their obvious shill attempts, and throw in the asinine "stoopid debtors" comment.
