Automated voice said they were a home security company, then the call ended. Based on all the previously posted complaints, it looks like they really enjoy annoying people. Blocking them.

I'm lucky, only 2 calls 2 hours apart. When the "security specialist" at "Home Security Center" a/k/a SAFE Security asked why I didn't like Monitronics, and it went like this:Me : I didn't like ttheir robocalling

Called twice. The number comes up Restricted. First time I was not at home. Second time I blocked the call.

We have been receiving calls since Monday 7/6. Started off with one call that day, two calls the second day and 3 calls today. Kind of annoying when we have people in the house who work nights. I have blocked the call but our phone still rings once prior to blocking (so you still get that one ring). I tried calling the number back to let them know to stop calling but of course it's a non working number. Imagine that.

Called me several times and hung up. I keep a list in my phone's contact file lby "Scammer / (state)". When I get one of these calls, I post it to my Contacts under that exact heading. This guy is now listed in my Contacts as "Scammer / Illinois". When (if) he calls again, I can immediately see that he is full of it. I then cancel his call without answering. My phone is an old Blackberry type, and it does not have a built in blocking function. Would be nice if it did. It's too bad that the species allows idiots like these to roam about in pursuit of scamming the unwary. Red Queen justice for them all !!!

Very callous, and he knew robocalling is illegal, as my sentence was to read "I didn't like their constant illegal robocalling" before I left computer for 2 minutes to answer the door, and couldn't get back into the thread.

how is it that when you call this number back it says disconnected or not in service - how does Verizon permit this scam
