social security administration -SCAM do not give any information out! They will say your SS# has been compromised in a Texas murder or something else and want you to verify personal information. Do NOT repeat give ANY info out! Hang up immediately!
Same as Dot. They left a voicemail which started mid-sentence. A computerized voice saying something about Social Security, and to call back this number.

called the number, female answered..said my social number was being used in Texas and that i was being investigated for drugs and money laundering in said state, once i told her i had family down there, it changed a little bit...(back tracking a few months..i have lost my social card) (and also at this point i believe it to be a Phishing call), if anyone knows what those are..if not, well there are a bunch of different ways to get the info they are wanting..key questions, like do you have any of these accounts..i wont ask for any numbers..last 4 for verification...the one that triggered me was she used my middle name:..lol really,,So i thought mabey call was legit, stuff happens....but then i asked how do i verify this number with social security...she was a little bit disturbed by that comment..asking me if i believed what was going on..i said "Hey its not a hard request to make from my side of this" then i asked her to transfer it to the local office...and then she said i would ber hearing from the police or fbi sometypes and we hung up...so my belief is its a Phishing scam ..gurad your calls
The male caller claimed to be from the Social Security Administration. When I said “I know this is a scam call” he started cursing and calling me vulgar names. There was no reason for him to become so abusive and temperamental when he was the perpetrator.
They left a voicemail which started mid-sentence. A computerized voice saying something about Social Security, and to call back this number. I will not call back this number since my correspondence with SS is voluntarily limited to online and email. However, will check my account online.

I called the Chase number on the back of my card and they said they had NOT called me, said it was scammers. I had two calls on my machine asking me to call them back.
