Did not receive a call, however, a charge showed up on my credit card for a magazine I no longer receive. reported it to the credit card fraud department.
This phone # belongs to a magazine subscription service that tried to renew my expired subscription to my expired Mastercard. I did not want to renew the subscription and certainly not automatically . Mastercard declined the attempted charge of $35.00 Thank goodness, I'm glad Mastercard alerted me to this and wouldn't accept the charge.
Just noticed a $46 charge to my checking account with this phone number on it. I reported to my bank as fraud. Closed that card and getting a new one. Pain in the butt.
I got charged $47 and this number was listed. The magazine listed is one I subscribe to but have never paid for by credit card, so made me think I was going crazy until I saw others are victims of this same scam. Called the bank, getting a new card.
I got a charge on my bank account $45.00. Called them just now and it's a fax machine. Never ordered so will be contacting bank in morning. Pretty disgusting that some people think scamming money is equal to a real, an honest job! Fed up....
Also got bogus charges from 855-427-1652 NY. Got them, they offered to refund pricey subscriptions and then reoffered them at 1 or 2 dollars. I made themistake of accepting. They did not refund the full amounts, my credit card company charged me late payment fees and now I have ended up paying through the nose for "trial subscriptions".
Just saw this number with 'CoastalLasVegas' in front of it my Amex bill with a $33.00 charge. Called Amex and reported it as s fraudulent charge. Beware---always check every line on your credit card bill!!!
Re: TME*855-427-1652 CONSR.We have a $39 charge on VISA bill - no call or previous written communication. Based on your posts, this is probably a scam from Synergy Group. We have subscribed to Consumer Reports (?CONSR) for years...but only directly with them - not through a subscription service. Will report to credit card company and online at other sites to hopefully put them out of the scam business.
This is a third party publishing house that provides subscriptions for many magazines. If you call once to subscribe to a magazine, that is how they get your information. For some reason they automatically put you on a yearly auto payment. They just charged us $30 for a magazine I re-newwed with a check several months ago.
This is a scam!!! When I called the number listed on my credit card statement it was Time and a renewal of Guideposts magazine at a charge of $29.00. I did not sign up for an automatic renewal so this is a scam. From a recording for 5 minutes of trying to sell the magazine at a reduced price and saying they could extend the cancel date because the prior one had expired they said the amount would be put back on my credit card. I hope so.
