I got a call from “Amazon” saying that I purchased an IPhone X. I quickly looked at my bank app and there was no charge. He told me that in order for them to refund me I would need to pay a fee of $300. I hung up and called the number twice and it was the same person answering he sounded Indian af...I tried speaking to another person and same thing, they can barely speak English don’t fall for this... (All Patel family needs to stop trying to scam people) SMH.
Just got this one. Usually I hang up before getting to the number suggested, but since someone I know just got hit by one of these f**ing scams, I decided to see if there was anything identifiable to use to trap them and nail them to the wall. Alas, there isn't.
Recording.... Important security message in regards to your Apple ID our server has detected some suspicious hacking activities... The recording also warned me about doing any banking transactions & left a number....
