just got a call from 858-102-3252. The man was speaking so fast as if he was reading off a piece of paper and he was speaking like he was from India. I asked him to slow down before he speaks and to speak proper English to me. He then passed the phone to a supervisor who I told I looked the number up online and it told me they are scams. Something about windows operating system software. Then he said it was the wrong number even though I told him it was not wrong it is the number that comes up on the caller ID bar. He said look this number up then, 858-939-1002, So I did, and again I told her more scam about finances and he got really upset about the fact I told him I will not listen to a word he has to say to me and he hung up with me. ALWAYS check numbers that come up.
I receive a call from this number on a nightly basis. I normally don't answer and they don't ever leave a message; however I wasn't paying attention when I answered this eve. It was a woman claiming to be from an PC company to warn me about my Windows operating system and the virus that I've supposedly accessed on it. I told her that it was a scam and to remove my number from their dialer. She told me it was not a scam and she wasn't removing anything. I told her that I was reporting the number for fraudulent activity and she told me that I could not treat her or her company this way and she would make sure that I learned this. I don't know exactly what she believes she is going to do to me, but I say bring it on. I hung up on her while she was threatening me (and have reported the number FTC). I would suggest everyone who receives a call from these people to do the same.
I got a phone call from some Indian Telemarketer claiming to be from a company called PC wizard. I could hardly understand him. He was saying that my computer was infected some viruses and malware that was going to hurt it. I told him that I didn't want him to touch my computer. he said he was going to give me instructions. I asked him how he knew what was going on with my computer. he started sying some stuff that I didn't understand and I asked him if I could talk to someone that spoke clear english. He put me on hold for a minute. When he came back he said that the person was busy and he would call me back. THIS IS DEFINATELY A SCAM!!!! THEY WANT CON TROL OF OUR COMPUTERS!!!!!!
I got a call from Indian man and stupid me was on phone with him for 24 mins. He almost got me to connect with him. I told him 4 digits of the 6 digit code he wanted me to connect with him and I hung up. Can he still get my information? I am usuAlly very cautious but I heard them say Microsoft and I thought I had a virus before they called so that's why I let him talk. But when I asked if I could call Microsoft to see if they knew about these viruses he told me Microsoft couldnt and wouldn't help me so I really got suspicious. Am I at risk now that I was online and gave him 4 digits of the 6 digit code...I didn't connect though. I am sick at myself, so stupid of me....shame!
I got the same call yesterday and this morning. When I answered yesterday, no one answered or responded. After researching the number, I saved it as "Do Not Answer" in my address book and waited for a callback. he called today and said his name is Eric from a CCI Diagnostics or something like that. He proceeded to tell me that any of my computers with a Microsoft Operating System is infected with malware from sources unknown. I build, repair, and offer other services concerning computers, but I kept that to myself. To make them stop calling, I told Eric that I don't have a computer with a microsoft operating system. He promptly apologized for his calling and that he wouldn't call anymore. I'll see if this worked.
These people do not waste time as it has more than 20 minutes telling me about the same as I had a virus and told him I did not understand very well uqe speak out and when I said I would help solve my problem I asked him what and which I said I had to shut down my computer but when I said that my computer was off just hung up
I got a phone call from some Indian sounding guy. He actually said my first name, Daniel, and told me that I have viruses on my computer and that it was in danger of being hijacked. I played along (see why later) and let him build up to his crescendo of how he would help me. Then i dropped the bombshell, after verifying several times that it is the windows computer viruses and my windows computer was in danger that I dropped my bombshell, I HAVE A MAC. He fumbled over the phone and had no comeback. I said, sorry, I can't understand you. Oh, right, because Mac's don't catch window's viruses. He continued to stutter and make odd noises, looking for anything to save face. I laughed and said this was fun, and hung up.
