I get a call from this number everyday. I phoned RBC and inquired about this number. They told me that calls from this number are not by a representative of RBC.

Just call back and leave a message that you want to opt out. I don't believe it's a scam, but it's seriously annoying, especially when they call your cell phone, knowing full well that those calls cost people money. The deadline for the previous promotion stated by Jane has likely passed, and now they're likely using the same company to cold call for the next promotion in the qeue. I'm pretty sure that I requested to opt out of any marketing calls when I signed up at RBC in October, but the repeated calls would line up with the start of my account. That being said, RBC has been an absolute nightmare in the three months that I have been with them, so I wouldn't take any of their other products if they gave them to me for free, and I will be cancelling my account with them imminently.

Called me 3 times today after I called rbc about credit card information as soon as I got off the phone with rbc within hours I was getting calls from this number I never answered and got a nice 10 min long message from some women saying hello and talking to someone eles..I thought my number would be safe with rbc and now I'm getting 5 calls a day from this number

This is Feb 05/2015 and I am still getting calls. So much for the Jan 18 end date.

This is a SCAM. IT IS NOT RBC. They called claiming they were Rbc. The man said his name was mark. And that he had a supplementary program that could earn me $200 a day. And when I told him that i would rather go to my branch to talk to someone in person about this program. He said "oh no this is only an offer that RBC can be do over the phone " Complete lie. Rbc would never have a phone only offer. I called Rbc and gave them the number. They said this is not associated with the bank and that this was definitely a phishing scam. So beware!

I added it to my phones restricted no~call list. It's long distance and out of country, no way I answer on a cell. Based on multiple web sites it is a purported Royal Bank of Canada subaiduary. When I go into the bank next week I shall directly tell them to never call again. Based on my knowledge of law they have used (y)our permission as clients to 'call for a survey' to also call despite in Canada it being illegal to solicit in such a way or send emails.

Same thing happens with me. Something on behalf of RBC for a supplementary program. A lady is calling. Hopefully 100% frod, be alert everyone.

I just got a call today (February 18, 2016). I talked to a male (finally no fricken robots!!)

thanks for sharing... they keep calling me too...but its not worth it to me to pay for the info...but is still nice to know.

Selling accident insurance on behalf of RBC. It's cheap-ish but the coverage is minimal and not likely to apply to most people. It only pays if you get hurt and hospitalized and pays per day in hospital. Short of getting cancer, there isn't much that keeps you in the hospital for weeks at a time anymore so you'd be better off looking into a proper healthcare plan with benefits if your workplace doesn't provide them. It's not a scam; it's just not a very good offer.
