You need to talk to a branch manager then. My group (RBC Customer Relationship Management) uses a variety of companies to contact existing clients and potential clients about various products and services. The company that owns this particular number has been utilized by RBFG several times, and each time, branches are sent a memo detailing the numbers that customers may see on their phone. This particular number was sent to the branch network in Canada on September 17, 2014 for a campaign that started on September 22, 2014 and will be ending on January 18, 2015.If you are an RBC Banking Client, or an RBC Direct Investing Client, you can contact your branch, or Royal Direct (number on the back of your client card) and tell them that you would like to opt out of marketing calls for products you don't want. If you do it in the branch, the information is on the Client Preferences and Choice screen, accessible by both tellers and personal bankers.
I agree that number keeps calling they leave a message saying hello and that's it. Every day they call but when they do call the number shows up from the states there is no way I'm not answering that. How do I go about blocking that number?
I am an RBC Customer. And I did take the time to sit wit my branch manager, and watched as he unchecked the boxes beside all the different product and service providers i did not wish to receive calls from. Then my phone stopped ringing. Finally. Until this week. Now Im receiving multiple calls every day claiming they are calling on behalf of RBC. Now I can make another appointment to meet with the manager and do it all over again, or i dan take my money and investments else where. Hmmm ...
I just got a call from that number I ignored it but it shows up from united states I'm not answering that. They leave a message saying hello but nothing after that.
I Don't trust anyone about try to sale over the phone . If I want or need service from Bank I will go and sit down talk with real person.Unknown number *I suspect scammer**
Have been calling me daily, sometimes up to 4 times a day, for the last 3 months. Figured if it was important they would leave a VM. They started leaving VMs but they were blank - no talking but you can hear background noise.Decided to call back today, and got an automated message wanting me to leave my name and number to stop the calls. As the stubborn person I am, I've decided to play a different game. I'm not going to pick up, nor am I going to leave my name and number, because I shouldn't have to. It's illegal to solicit my phone number, I'm on the do not call list.Every time they call and leave a blank VM, I call back and leave a blank VM. If enough people call back and leave blank VMs, maybe they'll get the point (doubtful). At least this way its humorous. Curious to see how long this game goes on.
Got call about $100 a day be put in my account if I find myself hurt or in hospital. Told them I am disabled. I hurt every day and am not able to work. Asked if they would start paying me immediately. They said not for preexisting condition but in future if I am in hospital or hurt. Said I was going to hospital tomorrow. They said waiting period. I told them I'm on very fixed income and cannot afford extra expenses. They said low cost. Why on earth would I pay for something that I would not be able to collect on because they say preexisting condition does not count? It's horrible that they are so into taking my money but chances are I would never be able to collect. And this Jane on here twice defending RBC, makes me think this company who is making calls is a BIG SCAM outfit. Especially when I explained my situation and told them no four times. Still with the sales pitch.Do business only when YOU call them for items or only of they willing to mail information. DO NOT confirm your address. They should have it if reputable organization.
By the way, Jane is lying about end date of campaign. Received my call the afternoon of January 26, 2015. Twice they called.
Received calls 3-4 times daily from that number. It's a Company calling on behalf of RBC Bank for a supplementary program. I called the number back and it says to leave a message with your name and phone number if you'd like to be removed from their call list. I did leave my info and hopefully they'll stop calling.
