They keep calling me cell but I have sent that number straight to voicemail. They have a process server bang on my door every Friday since the second week of August. I've ignored them both. Hell, we in a recession damnit.

I too received a call from this number. Have no idea what this could be about. How did resolve your issue? I usually send a certified letter to find out what they want and direct to a P.O. box for all future communications. Collections are assigned or purchased and validation is required. Must be licensed in the state to collect, provide validation, not just a bill that says you owe but an actual document showing the assignment or purchase and you even have a right to know for how much they purchased. Usually pennies on the dollar.

This is a debt collector with serious issues on the defination of what is and is not legal in the state of Texas. He represents LVNV Funding who buys written off debts from credit cards and then tries to sue you for the original amount HE thinks you owe, or should owe. A process server came to my house, threatened my brother (who is handicapped) while I was out of town, talked to my neighbors and told them why she was there, so now all my neighbors think I am dodging the courts. I looked up on the internet on how to handle the lawsuit and found tons of info on how to stop these people. Not sure how all this is going to play out but the credit reporting agencies are now investigating him and LVNV for fraud.

I called the number back. Apparently they had my phone number associated with some guy who owed money. Surprisingly, they were very nice and removed my number from their database.
