I do have an eFax account, but this call was NOT eFax (my card used for monthly subscription is up to date and charged properly each month). When my card expires, the real eFax sends me an email to notify me, they DO NOT call me. This is a scam hoping to get people who do have eFax accounts.
these clowns called and said that someone was hacking into my account and to call back to verify. I called back because I really couldn't understand the broken English and the guy says what is my account number??? I asked what this is....and they said EFAX. I don't know and didn't know what eFax is and so I said I don't have an account.the guy argued with me and said someone would call back to delete my account....HELLO....I DON"T HAVE AN ACCOUNT SO WHY WOULD SOMEONE NEED TO CALL ME BACK TO DELETE IT????? guy hung up on me....nice company.......should be shut down.
I've been called by this company a few times. They want to update my payment information for something called Efax. I don't have an account with Efax. I think this is a scam.
This number is the toll free number for E-Fax's Accounting Dept., Credit Card Services Group. I do have EFax and this was a legitimate call to me to let me know that my credit card has expired and further monthly charges could not be processed. I updated on line with my new card information and was also offered a lower cost annual subscription rate which I accepted. I have been quite happy with their service since 2004. They don't need to ask for an account number, all they asked for was my EFax phone#. If you don't have an Efax Phone# I don't know what to say about these prior postings. Just one legit EFax customer's input to this page of 800notes.com Which I have found very helpful.
I'm with Ed S., I've had an account with EFax for years. When my billing came up this month, the card on file had expired and the call was to notify me. Perhaps those with complaints inherited the number of an EFax client that failed to update their profile with the company.ps Love 800notes.com
Endless calls from Efax. I don't want efax and I cancelled the service. I get endless calls for years telling me that my card has expired. I DON'T WANT YOUR F******G SERVICE.
I'm with Ed & Kerry. This is legit. My card was 'compromised' so the card company gave me a new number. I didn't update the efax, so they had a problem. Not spam.
Has to be a scam, they do not mention anything of pertanance and the are wanting to "update" our acconts, translation, get our account information. Police need to visit these folks...
Don't buy the shill "I'm an efax customer and it's real" reports. Too many people who have no accounts get these obvious phishing calls. Anyone savvy enough to be using this site to check suspicous calls is savvy enough to know, if they truly have an account, to log in to the website and confirm any claims of that type. Same common sense as not following a link in spam emails.
