I did not receive all call from 1-866-514-0380, rather I received a bill for my podiatrist (which I had already paid the previous month). The bill has my dr's info at the top and the amount I owed previously. I called the "billing questions" phone number which is this number above. I got an ornery man yelling I owed him money and he's going to sue and to pay my bill.I took some common sense and put this together:1) the man who answered didn't say "billing dept", "collections", or Dr. V's Office. He said Yellooo. I said I'm calling to discuss my bill. He says,"You guys all call me and owe me money just pay your damn bill. Just pay me the money and shut up. "2) The number on the website for my dr office is a different 800 number.3) My dr would never talk to me like that, he's super professional. And why would my Dr. be taking personal calls about billing on a Saturday? This was not my Dr. or his office...couldn't be.So I went to the website for my podiatrist, called the office directly and left a message about this number and what this man is trying to do with fake bills. I also called their 800-number, which is totally different than what is listed on this bill, and left a similar message for their billing dept.If you call this number to discuss your incorrect bill, do not pay this man. He is not your dr, your bill, your health network - none of the above. The bill looks legitimate. So be careful. How did he get my address? My bill amount from November? That I'd like to know.If this bill had come in November, I'd have paid it.
I think you misdialled, got a wrong number and somebody played a joke on you! I just used this number and the correct number is indeed a bill service (I know for sure because the only info I gave her was the acct number and from there she was able to tell me the date of service, the amount and the name of the patient.)
