Obvious scam but they are getting better they are emulating to a perfect point how credit card companies work they ask for account number and date of birth then they say cannot find you and then they ask for social... PERFECT then you hit Zero and some indian guy gets on the call.
Common sense dictates that when people with Indian accents call you from a spoofed number and ask for the number of a credit card you don't have and want your SSN, you should hang up, block, and go back to doing something worthwhile.
I didn't answer,because I didn't think it was a number I knew
Yeah a guy just called me from this saying this is there last attempt to collect money for credit card debt... But since i dont have any credit cards open i asked him what card hes talking about and he hung up the phone on me.. When i called back its now a Walmart number...
Unrecognized number. Blocked for the future. Scumbag scammers.
Looked the number up and its the walmart Credit Card (Mastercard) department. I don't own a Mastercard through them so its possibly a spoofed caller ID? Don't trust it either way.
ipicked up, nothing on other side
Appeared as "United States", recording says "Final call in reference to your credit card account, press 1". pressed 1. Call transfers to operator with poor English, background is noisy like a call center, "Hi, this is (inaudible) are you here to lower your credit rates?" , I answer "Yes, what is the name of your company?" The call was disconnected without answer to my question.

Scam. An attempt to get bank account information and then a request to transfer money to the scammer's account.

Got a text from “SpeedX” from (844) 866-3737 stating that my delivery is on its way. It’s not clear what that is. I’m just a person not a company. It stayed to verify my address. Nope. The url seemed legit but didn’t click on it. Reverse ... read more
