Started receiving calls from this number, 866.877.9385, on 4-23-09. Called 4 times during the course of the day. On 4-24-09, called 3 times, all saying same thing: Important message......call back and to use this code. A "code number" is left. I have tried to call back but always busy. What a scam!@&^#*

Received call on 5/9/09 at 11:37am EST. Don't answer, let machine pick up, no message left. Waste of human flesh, ought to turn themselves into something good. Idiot theives.

Called 3 times on 5/10, no message left. When AM picks up it disconnects call. Call 3 times on 5/11, this time on third call it left the automated message "This is BB&T calling for xxxxxxx, ref. code,etc." Same as everyone else. That call was 7:30 pm. Called again at 8:58 am 5/12, no message this time. Might as well quit calling, no suckers here.

We get calls from this number 2 or 3 times a month. they say they are BB&T and ask for my husband or myself, and they want you to punch in your last 4 digits of your social. Don't do it. I asked my personal banker about this and she said that BB&T never asks for your social security number and just hang up on them it is a scam.

I keep getting calls from this number. It is so annoying. I called it back from my phone a recording picks up, says my name and to press 1, well I called it back from a different phone number and this time it said it enter your phone number they called you about, so stupid. They have been calling every day for the past week and it's so irritating. No ignorant people here, I wish they would stop.

i received this call on a sunday at 8:30 pm. Read that it was a scam, so reported it.

Just got this message on my answering machine too - I was wary and came and did a search for the phone # 966-877-9385 - and all this info popped up. I'll report it to my BB&T (I really do bank with them). If I get it again, will report to phone company and police department.Thanks to all that posted about it being a scam!!!!!!!!!!

Received a call this evening around 7:30. I didn't answer. I get the calls each month. Once I did answer and the automatic voice state this is BB&T.

This number called me twice. So I call my local bank, they did not know the number either and said I was smart not to give my ss#. So they called the number, and Yes it is BB&T Bank, they called to tell me a bill was due, even though I was still in my 15 day grace period. From what my local bank stated due to the state of fairs, this has become a new policy the if you are 2-10 days late on regular due date.
