Sorry about your husband's situation, however it absolutely doesn't matter what the caller ID states: these numbers are spoofed and as such can show as ANY working/existing number out there. Case in point: on quite a few occasions I received calls from these low-lives, that show on my caller ID as calls with MY OWN NAME AND MY OWN PHONE # !!!!!!!!! How about THAT??????Following your logic I should call myself and complain????So, these scumbags can claim one day to be calling from Nat'l Rifle Assoc. and the next -- from the Kremlin, for all I care.Once you understand that -- you'll stop attacking others for their supposed "ignorance" and "stupidity" and instead re-direct your anger towards those, who actually are playing mind-games with all of us here......And in conclusion, I read on one of these forums how to cleverly outsmart and get rid of these calls without really investing in expensive call blockers or apps., etc..What you do, is find on the internet "official" MP3 recordings of messages, that you get, when you reach a number that is not in service. Download it to any MP3 playback device. Thus, next time when you get a number you don't recognize, turn this recording and play it into the handset 4-5 times in succession and then hang-up. People claim their rate of telemarketing phone calls at all hours of the day and night dropped practically to zero.So, if it's a "network" of these criminals, who use multiple numbers, but operate from the same location, they will take your number off a few of their listings. As a proof, the number of the calls I've been receiving lately dropped significantly.So, help yourself -- don't count on government's Do Not Call "service": they are of no use.

I agree, dpv - I've had calls come across my caller id with my own name and number. These guys can put any number on there to make it look like someone else is calling. It's terrible.

877-210-3463, getting calls daily and they always hang up...not leaving messages. They should be arrested for bothering others. I never gave them permission to call my number.

Individual claiming to be from the National Rifle Association wanted me to listen to a recorded message from Wayne LaPierre and take a survey. Told them they were complicit in Orlando.

Keep getting calls from this number on my home phone

Bob is correct. These idiots have been calling our business for weeks but never leave a message. When you call either number they've been calling from, you get a recording that is THE National Rifle Association. Maybe "tn" can't tell the difference between "recovery" and "rifle" but the rest of us can.

This number called our business today at 1817 hours. We've also received several calls on our business line from 877-210-3490. They never leave a message when they hear the recorder kick in. With both numbers, if you call it back, you get a message saying it's the National Rifle Association telling you that they're sorry they missed you but they will call back. (Again and again and again.) The NRA has no business calling our business. Our business doesn't own any firearms. And for the idiots who insist that it's the National Recovery Agency, all I can think is that you must be part of the NRA and are trying to do damage control for those money and power-hungry idiots. (Mind you, I say that AS a legal gun owner. I wouldn't have anything to do with the NRA if they paid ME to join them.) I don't know if the idiots are too stupid to realize they're calling a business instead of a residence and completely brain-dead to continue calling after our business recording clearly identifies the number as a business but I'm hoping one day to be able to pick up their call so I can blow my emergency whistle into the receiver. Maybe then they'll stop with their stupid repeated calls.
