Hey Progressive Insurance, Really? bothering me on a weekend when I 've switched anyway!!! That should teach you to raise someones rates by $165 when they have a clean record and then blame it on "adjusting your rates to be in line with competitors for that state". You are way over piced compared to your competitors now. That's okay I got a new awesome deal and your service sucked any way :)

It was progressive. You can opt out of the calls fairly easily (actually listen to the prompts)

I am guessing progressive as well... I have a payment due on 2/9/11 to renew my policy, I am switching companies, and they no longer allow to cancel your plan online anymore, and I called and was put on hold for 10 min before I gave up this morning. But apparently they still call to remind you to renew but make it difficult to cancel.

Progressive auto insurance calls and calls and calls and hangs up on the voice mail.

You can opt out of these types of calls by asking their customer service rep to do so. For those of you messaging saying you do not have a policy, that means they have a wrong number. You too can call their customer service department and have your number removed.

I always thought they had the best rates, who did you switch to, if you dont mind me asking

Progressive raised my rates100/ for 6 months, they were high to begin with.I have had no accidents, claims, or tickets. Told them I would not be renewing the policy. They even sent me a confirmation letter. Now they are calling me at 7AM! They didn't leave a message. I have blocked their number on my cell.

I switched to Geico. Saved $40/month for higher coverage! Try canceling your policy with Progressive and getting a new quote some time later. It can often be cheaper.
