How can I get this caller (1-877-543-1115) to stop calling my house? It's several times daily and noone ever talks when picked? What could this mean?
It is a robo call from Direct TV wanting you to upgrade your package. They call daily, at all times. I emailed Direct TV and they told me they have put me on the do not call list, but are not responsible for their independent retailers contacting us. I have put in a message to the number that called us to stop calling us or they will be reported to the Do Not Call site. I'll give it about a week. Once you've put in a formal request they are required to stop calling you.
Just because I have an account with Directv does not mean that they can call me daily!!!!! STOP IT!!! If you must call for a business reason, other than selling me more, do it with a person on the line. Then have enough class to at least leave a message. You might even get more this way. Class never goes out of style.
Do you really think that posting here will make DirecTV stop calling you? You might, I don't know, try actually calling them... I'm pretty sure they don't troll 800notes.com looking for customers that don't want them to call anymore.
Actually, it does. The one loophole in the "Do Not Call" registry and in the FTC rules is if you have a existing business relationship with the company, they can call you. They're not required in any way to not call you, even if you ask them not to.
