I got a call too,. started with "Hey this is ___" WOW, that's unprofessional. Also did not ask for a persons name, no reference #,...Really, do they think someone will call them if they have no idea who they want or what it's about.

Message from (inaudible), ID #1849 a debt collector from Americollect. She said she's in the office M-F from 7am-11pm and S 8-5 and to please feel free to give her a call if she has the wrong number (or go online). Didn't say what the debt was for and never used my name. I may call back an give all of my dog's date (DOB, etc) and see what they say.

I received this exact same message. Sounded like her name was Joy. I did try calling back from a land line (call came in on my cell). Caller ID said she was calling from 920.249.8070, she said call back to 877.563.5739, and when I did, it clicked off immediately....which is why I'm checking if it's a scam.

Have got three calls form 3 different people. Husband erased 2 of the messages. Still have the one from Elizabeth ID1912. Definitely scripted cause it reads exactly like what others have said they got. Never give who debt is with or name given for the debt. We have no debts. Not calling back. Perhaps number belonged to someone else before we got it since it is a landline. Contacting the FCC.
