Yep, MI is six years across the board. At my count, 34 states have at least one debt category set for six years. Again, none list a seven year SoL. Seven years is the reporting limit set by FCRA, which is frequently confused with SoL and does not affect debt liability.
She called me on my cell phone and told me I owed $600 to Chase. I've never had a Chase Bank account and that it was from 2001 to 2003. I lived in South America from 1999-2004 so I kindly let her know this and hung up. It's a scam!
My wife received a call about a debt that was over 10 years old and that she had paid off way back then, this person on the other end had our previous address, current address, name, cell numbers, some financial information and wanted my wifes routing and account number, she didn't give that up thankfully but she did verify our current address and gave her email to have the supposed bill sent to us. I called them back after my wife started asking me questions about it and telling me the conversation. When I called and asked what their business was and what they did, I got an immediate who am I talking to, and they continued to avoid the answer which got me mad hatter mad, they wanted to direct me, pull my account up, everything but what their business did and why they were calling over a 10+ year paid debt and asking for banking information. I had a whole lot of explisives for them and told them I was going to have my lawyer look into them etc... if they kept avoiding my question about who they were and what they did as a business and I got sir you don't have to use that type of language, avoided again and I hung up. Actually I am still mad as I type this and I'm thinking about calling them back and ripping them a new one again... I will be reporting this to the FTC asap and trying to get some type of Law Enforcement involved with this that is for sure...
I just wanted to know what "SRG" was?I figured you called me,and wanted to hear "EXACTLY" what i had to say. It's good to hear even the "RETARDS" HAVE ISSUES ANSWERING SIMPLE QUESTIONS.we know "[***]" when we hear it in TEXAS
Called, very rude. Refused to tell me which company they were representing. I would not give them my name
Was called about a quick loan that was taken out and the money deposited in a Wells Fargo Bank and Wells Fargo saying money wasn't good. This is supposedly to have happened in 2006. Gave them my email so they could send me information to review. I had a phone call a year ago that also said I had taken out a quick loan but, it was for 2008 and they wanted me to pay restitution for which I said no way. They then advised me that I would be served with papers. I'm still waiting to be served. I called all quick loan places within 100 miles and none had any record. One places said it was a scam.
I had the same thing a few minutes ago, they give you personal information and say they are collecting a debt and want you to pay this debt off. The sad thing about it is I received nothing in the mail about the debt, I filed bankruptcy as well. Needless to say, I ask her for information and she could not provide that to me, so I told her "I have a legal right to know (in black and white) what I am paying for. She said she had limited information so I told her I was not going to pay on a debt that I am not aware of in writing.
