5/5/2015 Saturday at 4:00PM received a call from that reads "118778180060 NAME NOT FOUND"answered the phone to an automatically recorded message playing about reward for a lost log with phone number to call. This call was a spoofed number from the actual owner of the number to be placed on the caller id to appear. These are a group of bogus callers coming from out side the untied states. This actual caller was traced as well with "201 243-4141 CONSUMER SVCS", "425 412-8426 OUT OF AREA" originating from Novosibirsk Russia!
Message, repeated about five times, regarding a lost cat (description given), last seen in a neighborhood about a mile and a half and across an interstate highway from mi casa. Supposedly, "reward offered," but I couldn't make out the contact # for the alleged owner. A visit to the website revealed the contact info that was garbled in the recording. From the other posts, sounds like this is an attempt to separate desperate pet owners from their $ for enormous profit. You'd think that a legit service would show as such on CID.
I am on do not call list and this call is unlawful and do not want to get another! I could care less about helping find a lost dog!
Just got a call from this number:877-818-0060, telling me some cat named Tyson was lost in our neighborhood and named a street that is no where to be found in our town. BLOCKED.
Had a message on my machine and unlike most of the other posts regarding this number, it was about a lost cat and referred me to lostmykitty.com. Caller ID just said "name unknown". The cat was lost over a month ago, so the call was really useless as far as alerting me to helping find it. I live in a heavily wooded area, so it is highly likely a wild animal has already found the cat in that length of time.
No, because if it was a family member, I'd talk to my neighbors in person, no harass them using some third party. If you are afraid to know your neighbors, perhaps you shouldn't live in that neighborhood.
I got a call from this number, waited three rings, said nothing. Very quickly an fast-talking and extremely irritating female voice said it was from "lostmydoggie" and talked about the loss of a large dog more than four large blocks away from my street - on a moderately busy street that has a lot of traffic during the day.Call logs show :Name Number When LengthNAME NOT FOUND +11 877-818-0060 Thu, 05-20-15 0:49As my telephone number has been in printed telephone directories for several years, I am not surprised that I would get a call that is directed to the occupants of this neighborhood. However, a large number of people in my neighborhood have only cell phones and thus are not listed in an directory. This includes two long-time homeowners who live on my block, they dropped their landlines a few years ago, and hundreds of college students.I object to the CNAM containing no information as to the owner of the number being used to make this call.It is a business call, therefore there should be a business name given.I also object to the nearly immediate yapping done by the irritating voice. It doesn't give an cassette-tape answering machine time to start its outgoing message, so when the recording begins, much of the announcement will be truncated. When I think about how irritating the voice was, maybe that was the reason the dog ran away. The voice was not worried or sad.Call type - broadcast of lookout for missing pet
You're a selfish fool. Just got my first lost doggie call. It did not invade my right to privacy. It is a service that can reunite families with their lost pet. If you're so worried about you privacy maybe you should be fighting for your right to privacy with our homeland security...they're listening to your calls and invading your privacy...your bitching to the wrong group about your privacy rights. You are a very ignorant person. There are so many injustices going on this world that you could be speaking up against. Lost My Doggie isn't one of them.
I let it roll to voice mail. Recording reports a lost cat in my area, gives name and description, owner's contact number and other details, also offers that picture is at lostmykitty.com (I have not verified.)
