That number 877-889-2024 has been calling here at least 6 times per day for at least a week - maybe two. No one is ever on the other end of the line. I'd just arranged to get call screening to block it and before the screening was put on the line today, the 877 number called again and this time, finally someone was on the other end. It was Sears maintainance agreement department - my extended warranty was running out! I called their head office 1-800-361-6665 to complain their system is broken. They have removed me from their call list and will mail out any info from now on. Sears promised to look into it.
You haven't the slightest clue what you are talking about. This number has nothing whatsoever to do with targeting people for identity theft. They are legitimately calling on behalf of Sears regarding extending the warranty that you have on products bought from Sears. They called me about my warranty and had all the information about every product and warranty that I have ever purchased from Sears. I extended my warranty and received the paperwork for the extended warranty in the mail a couple of weeks later. They are completely legit.

Sears calling to offer or extend warranty agreements on major appliances. All of our major appliances are from Sears and because most of there products are garbage, I appreciate the "reminder" call offering to further the warranty and always take advantage of it. Warranty service had been awesome and have even had them twice replace our fridge and once a dishwasher because of defects. Seems as though I get a new major appliance every few years at almost no cost.
same experience as others. I'm from western Canada. dead air when call answered.
This number - 877-889-2024 has called here numberous times. I'm getting tired and now turn off my ringer most of the time ... my house is much more quiet now!
19 dead air calls in 19 days shortly after I purchased a stove from Sears. Apparently the Sears employee said it is their custom to send customers numbers to the extended warranty people.....unreal......they could have left a msg on my phone what they were calling about instead of phoning 19 times.....3x a day sometimes......leaving dead air.....HARRASSMENT.....sears will never get another purchase from me. I reported them to CRTC.....and called Sears extended warranty to have my number removed from their list. Any calls to my number when listed on DNCL (do not call list) soliciting money is illegal....NOW Sears has one month to comply...any error...any phone call....I will jump on the opportunity to nail them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been getting the same calls, several times daily. Thanks to posts here, I called Sears and they will now contact via mail only. Ahhh, thanks other posters, this was driving me crazy!
I work nights and receive numerous calls during the day when I am usually sleeping and no one speaks when you answer the phone, and if you don't answer a message is never left. They have called our housea ton of times over the last week, and you never get a response when you answer. If this is a company doing work for Sears, they never to terminate their contract or they will lose customers due to this type of harrassing calls.
