I have the same problem. They called me 9 times today but when I answer they hang up. It is getting ridiculous

We've been getting multiple calls a day from this number for a couple of weeks and never answer it. I've read through this entire thread going back a couple of years and it looks to me like 1-888-111-2222 is just a "dummy" number used by a telemarketer that does calls for multiple clients - or maybe it's pre-programmed into a particular robocall system that telemarketers use. Whatever, based on the evidence posted here it's most likely not a number that's actually registered to anybody. I am going to ask my government's telecommunications regulator if telemarketers are permitted to hide behind a generic 888 numbers and what, if anything, they are doing about it.

I began receiving anywhere from 3-8 phone calls a day from 888-111-2222. at first the caller would just hang up when either myself or my answering machine would pick up. Then one day the caller got belligerent. That's when I called my local FBI agent and report the incidents. The agent that answered the telephone assured me he would investigate the incident.Since that time, whenever possible, I have been telling family and friends the license plate number of every vehicle that comes by my home [if the vehicle is one that normally does not belong on my street. I have also notified my neigbors to be on the look out for unfamiliar vehicles on our street. THAT'S RIGHT, I'M A TELLER!!!!!

S.O.B.s been calling at 8:01 a.m. most every morning and then 20 minutes later and several times through day. Wife works late and then woken up by calls early. Can't turn phones off as elderly and terminally ill parents need access. Never get answer and calling back number gives not valid number recording. If anyone finds this boiler room and goes ballistic or postal I'll volunteer for jury duty!!!

I've been getting the same type of calls. Try calling your local FBI and report the calls. They promised me they would investigate.Maybe if enough of us do this, the "Creep" will get caught!!I DID!!!!!!!!!!!

They are calling me 6 and 7 times a day for the last 3 weeks. I have tried calling my cell phone provider to block the call. I was told they are unable to block individual calls. I don't know what to do next, but I can't stand it anymore!!!!!!!!!!!! I try to call back and I get the 'cannot complete as dialed' also. Luckily I have not had any creepy messages, but rather it seems there is noone on the other end.

Call your local FBI agency. They will investigate

These people have been calling me for the past 3 weeks. Today it has already been 4 times and it's only 2pm. When I tried to answer one time there was no response on the line. Does anybody know how to get these people to stop????

Receive calls from this 888-111-2222 number at least 4-6 times each day. Out of anger I finally answered a call only to just hear voices in the background and no one speaks. When I try to call the number it does not go through my carrier (Road Runner.) What ever happened to the "Do Not Call List?"
