Yes this is what happened to me. The originating text came from 747 2296547. I was asked to call PayPal 888221116 to"confirm my services so they can release funds". I I have only done 1 PayPal charge I'm many oonths but it was a week ago. I will just check with that vendor to see if she got credited. I don't know if it's Paypal or not and do not plan to sit on the phone for an hour while they charge me.
I got the e-mail telling me that I need to log in to my PayPal account regarding some irregular activity. I found it interesting because I do not and have never had a PayPal account. I put them on my blocked sender list.
SCAM E-mail, telling you to "log in" to another crappy site because your Paypal account has been suspenede. They provide probably a good num ber but its purpose is to confuse you and encourage you to log inNEVER CLICK THAT LINK. Move the cursor to the link and see what a grabage scam site it is.Best is to IGNORE it.

This is not the number to PayPal it is a scam. The number for PayPal is 1 (855) 684-1966. Whoever says otherwise may be in on this scam. Do not call the 888 number. Go to your PayPal account and look up Contact Us and you will see the 855 number. Other complaint pages have documented theft of money from banks due to this scam. #1 if they block their number - red flag #2 if they can't verify your current info and purchases - red flag.Do not give them any info and hang up on them. Period...
