best buy called and left message that i have a delivery, but i did not order anything from best buy
Best Buy robocall reminding me about an upcoming large appliance delivery - totally legit!
Legit call - I had placed an order in store for a TV, Best Buy called me from this number to confirm the delivery address and ask that an adult be present to accept the order, etc etc.
Nov 18th @ 4:01am in the morning this number called our old access line which my family has not used for service in over 10 years. It is connected to an alarm since then. Here you insert what could horrible go wrong.. I've opened a ticket with the telco, contacted BestBuy(a warning shot) in which all the transferring around giving my story their phone switch dropped me. And now just left a MSG with a good lawyer. I believe he will give me a good reference. After I speak with the reference(a layer that specializes in telecommunications laws, I will contact the local news station(s).When on the phone with BestBuy one rep admitted that thier system reaches out to customers letting them know various news and making customers aware of their warranty is about to expire to a recorded sales add(so late 80's).My family has not shopped at BestBuy in over 8 years.If the call was after 7am, no issues - no problem.This falls back to the call from BestBuy that was placed to my number on November 18th at 4:01am that started a huge chain of events.This is now my second shot across the bow in public forum.Thank you 800notes
