Called regarding charges on my card, they gave me the correct card number and the accurate amounts and places I used the card. I also received a call from my bank saying there were fraudulent charges earlier and they specified the same charges. Company seems as legit as I can tell.
They called and left a message. When you call back they ask for your phone number which brings up your name. Then your date of birth to confirm you're not someone else. They tell you the location and amount of the charges in question and ask if you made them. Legit credit card fraud management as far as I know.
They called asking for me, asked me to verify my date of birth or zip. Once verified they advised me someone in CA tried to withdraw $500 from my account and failed, then they tried $300 and succeeded. I however wasn't in CA I live in Phoenix, AZ. They tole me of some transactions I made 50 minutes prior to the withdraw in CA. I called it back to verify they were who they said they were.
This is totally bogus! There is a scam going around where they have your credit card number and they tell you there has been suspicious activity on your account. Well, I checked my account and NOTHING peculiar was going on. With this scam, they ask you to verify the last few digits on the back of your credit card. That gives them unauthorized use to charge purchases against you.... Be careful, don't tell these folks anything.
Received a call from this number claiming to be my CU and asking to verify some "suspiscious" charges on my debit card. I called my C.U. and asked them about the information found here, Falcon Fraud Services, and she confirmed they ARE legit, and if they called me to call them back and confirm those transactions (I verified online that everything checks out okay). I called back, they took my Birth Date, and verified 2 transactions I had made recently that were out of my "ordinary" purchases. Nothing to be alarmed of on this end.
This number is LEGIT - they monitor debit card transactions for credit unions - my credit union lists this number on their website - - so I was able to independently verify it.
I got a call from this number too. Credit unions are using this third verification services, which most of the cases are fine.To be safe do not give any personal information to any body, specially if they ask you the 03 security digits from the back of your card.TIP: First, call your bank and verify if this third party verification is legit. and then you can call them back.
I received a call from them today. TOTALLY legit. I had tried to pay my cell bill online, but the zipcodes didn't match up. Turns out the bank hadn't changed it, and someone called from this # to make sure it wasn't someone else, or some suspicious activity.
Totally Legit.Got a call at work asking for my last 4 digits of SSN to verify my Credit Union Account. Seems there were 2 charges over the Internet using my card which were not authorized by me. I didn't give them my SSN at first until they could answer questions about myself that the Credit Union would only know. They put a block on the card and told me that the Credit Union would be contacting me in a couple of days about issuing a new card. I did not wait but called them as soon as I had hung the phone up. They verified the block and also verified the 1 888 241-2440 was legit. As a side note the Credit union believes that my identity was not compromised but someone more than likely inadvertently typed in the wrong credit card number which matched mine. But I am watching my accounts closely now to look for any unauthorized activity. Also the CO OP Logo is on the back of my card also.
