WOW! How about this Ron Lewis jerk just called me asking for someone who does not live in my household and never have. I tried to tell him the person their looking for don't live here and he started telling me bogus lies about he's a process server and he was going to serve the person he's looking for a summons to appear in court and he have some legal documents he needs to get out to her right away. FIRST OF ALL....why will you call someone and tell them you going to serve them, why not just do it moron. I told him to stop with the scare tatics cause its not working with me but oh no he was presistent. He violated the FDCPA big time. I told him I was going to record the conversation and he will be owing me some money and he hung up quickly. Now that's what you call a shade tree collector. I wonder if people actually falls for the garbage they be saying. He want be calling back!!!! IDIOTS!!

I got a call and the person identified themselves as "Lending Services". He started asking me for proprietary information (mother's maiden name, etc.) - which I declined to give until he told me what this was about. He couldn't give me any information until I gave him my information. So I hung up. I then checked this site and read that people were talking about Chase Bank. That jogged my memory - I had applied for a credit card and the bank was Chase. I called back and managed to give minimal information before they confirmed that it was my CC application.So, all is well in my case.

I don't think it this number is Chase because I called their main number back, and they said they had no records of anyone calling me. I also went in earlier to ask a question, and the banker and financial adviser both said that leaving a message was a sure indication of fraud. So I guess I'll go back in once I get my card.

This is not a scam. I applied for a credit card and they were looking to consolidate my accounts or cancel one of the cards.

Except that this number is for the underwriting department and the number on the back of the card is not so if an underwriter needs to talk to you about your application saying to call the number on the back of a card you don't have yet doesn't help much does it?

It is from Chase's lending services department.Three days ago I applied online for a Southwest Airlines card. In order to open this card, Chase wanted to transfer some limits from my other Chase cards to this card, which I agreed to do.Now, I better get my $50 bonus for applying for the card!

Received call - answered - line went dead

I declined to provide info too, asked for the number to call, called the # on the back of my Chase Freedom card and asked for "Chase lending services". Turns out this call WAS from them. 888-609-7805 is legit.

Actually, the number is legitimate. Got a similar call and it was in reference to a credit card I applied for, so can further confirm the others who likewise found this to be legitimate. The caller did ask for my full name and birth date, but that was all. Once I gave it to him, he relayed information to me that he only could have gotten from access to my application as well as my other Chase credit card accounts. And the purpose of the call was to tell me my application was approved and that I would be receiving my new card soon. Again, other than my name and birth date, he did not ask me for any other personal details or account info. So definitely not typical of a scam.

I was so stupid that I gave all the information, he asked, including my ssn..... am I safe? I start worring very badly...
